Paraskevadis Giannis

Giannis Paraskevadis was born in Piraeus in 1939. At a young age he studied under George Vakirtzis (1956 – 1960) and worked in the latter’s giant poster workshop. He was admitted to the Preliminary School of the Athens School of Fine Arts (1959 – 1960) where he attended classes under G. Mavroidis.

He worked in advertising and as an artistic editor for magazines, and he held his first solo exhibition in 1979 in Athens (Nees Morfes art gallery). He participated, among others, in the Pan-Hellenic exhibitions of 1969 and 1971, in Art Athina 97, etc. Giannis Paraskevadis died in 2004 in Piraeus. He was a Member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece.
