TOMPROU ALIKI
Painter Aliki Tomprou was born in 1930 in Athens. She took her first painting lessons under K. Iliadis before enrolling in the Athens School of Fine Arts (1950 – 1954) under A. Georgiadi. She then continued with independent studies in Paris at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière (1960 1962).
She has presented her work in solo and group exhibitions in Greece (including the Pan-Hellenic Exhibition of 1960) and abroad (Florence – 1962, Denmark – 1969 and 1970, Tanganyika – 1969, Norway – 1970, etc.). She has also worked as a book illustrator.
