EMMANOUILIDIS MANOLIS
Engraver and painter Manolis Emmanouilidis was born in Constaninople in 1924. He studied engraving at the Athens School of Fine Arts (1947 – 1952) under Jean Kefalinos and at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Athens.
He has presented his work in many group exhibitions, including the Pan-Hellenic Exhibitions (1957, 1960, 1963, 1973, 1975, 1987), the Barcelona Biennale in 1975, the tribute to the Greek Post-WWII engraving held at the National Gallery – Alexandros Soutsos Museum in 1988, etc. He has worked as a book illustrator and from 1963 to 1989 he taught at the College of Athens. He is a member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece.
