Stavros Pasparakis’ family comes from Anogia, Crete. He was born in Piraeus in 1940. At a very young age, he started working as an assistant in wood carving and icon painting workshops.

He then attended drawing and painting classes under G. Mavroidis and worked as an assistant to P. Byzantiou. He held solo exhibitions (starting on 1971) and also wrote poems and songs. He was imprisoned in Heraklion where he died in 2014.
