Painter, sculptor and stage designer Andreas Giannoutsos was born in Larissa in 1953. He studied painting under N. Nikolaou, sculpture under D. Kalamaras and stage design under V. Vassiliadis at the Athens School of Fine Arts (1971 – 1976).

In 1979 he started working in secondary education and since 1987 he has been teaching in the independent workshop of Larissa Municipal Gallery. He is a contributor to the Thessalian Theatre (Θεσσαλικό Θέατρο) and has also created and costumes and sets for plays. He has presented his work in solo and group exhibitions in Greece and he is a member of the Municipal Board of Larissa Municipal Gallery – G. I. Katsigras Museum and the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece.
