Angelos Razis was born in Thessaloniki in 1943. He studied painting and engraving at the Athens school of Fine Arts (1968 – 1973) under N. Nikolaou and K. Grammatopoulos. Between 1973 and 1980 he lived in Mithymna, Lesvos, where he also studied icon painting, and then in Troyes, France.

He has presented his work in solo exhibitions in Greece and abroad (Melusine Troyes – 1975, Stadttheater Darmstad – 1975, “Kochlias” art gallery, Thessaloniki – 1981, Ariadni art gallery, Heraklion – 1987, Albet le, Brussels in 1987 and 1993, etc.). He has taken part in several group exhibitions and he is a member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece.
