Vassilis Zenetzis is a self-taught painter who was born in Alikarnassos, Heraklion, Crete in 1935.

He started painting at a very young age and in 1973 he took part in the Pan-Hellenic Exhibition. In 1977 he presented his works made with a palette knife using a peculiar technique, in a solo exhibition which was held at Parnassos Literary Society in Athens.

He then held solo exhibitions in Athens, London and Cyprus. He is a member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece.
