Angelos Gontikas was born in Patras in 1932. He studied lithography in Essen, West Germany at the Volkwangschule and then worked in Germany in graphic arts enterprises. Following his return to Greece, he opened a lithography workshop.

He has presented his work in solo exhibitions in Athens (his first exhibition was held at the Consignment Deposits and Loans Fund of Athens in 1977), in Patras, etc.
