Baladakis Georgios
Photographer Georgios Baladakis was born in Chania in 1959. He attended several photography seminars: at the Prefectural Committee of Popular Education of Chania (1995), under Nikos Dimolitsas (2000), under Stelios Efstathopoulos, Athanasios Mylonas and Giorgos Papantoniou (2001). In 2007, he attended the seminar “nude and glamour” by Stefanos Paschos. In 2012, he studied at the AKTO Art and Design School after being granted a scholarship by the magazine ΦΩΤΟγράφος and in 2013 he attended a seminar by Platon Rivellis.
He has held solo photo exhibitions in Greece and Cyprus and has taken part in several group exhibitions in Greece, Cyprus, the Netherlands, China, Japan, etc. He has also taken part in international events and in national and international photo contests where he earned distinctions, awards and medals. He was awarded the “Artist FIAP” distinction in 2006, the “Excellence FIAP” distinction in 2012 by the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP). Also, in 2015, at the IV Salon Le Catalan, he was awarded the Ruban FIAP distinction for black and white photography.
