Konstantinos Baltzakis was born in Heraklion, Crete. He studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts (1993 – 1998) under Rena Papaspyrou and icon painting under S. Giannoudis, specializing in fresco and the technique of portable icons.

He has presented his work in solo and group exhibitions in Greece and abroad, and has participated in international events, including the 2008 Venezuelan Biennale and the International Exhibition of Graphic Arts in the Czech Republic (2008). Together with Sozos Giannoudis he worked in Korea, London and Cyprus. He was awarded the First Prize in a Pan-Hellenic Painting Competition (1989). He is a member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece.
