Painter, writer and screenwriter Evi Fotopoulou was born in Chania. She studied in the Art Workshop of K. Grammatopoulos (1990 – 1994). Then she travelled to Milan where she specialized in textile design (1995 – 1999), before continuing in the Art Workshop of N. Christoforakis in Athens (2000 – 2003) and the Byzantine Workshop of N. Giannakakis (2004 – 2007).

In addition to painting, she writes and illustrates books, writes scripts and she works with video art and art education. Her contribution in the aforementioned fields is significant. She has presented her work in group and solo exhibitions in Greece and abroad, she has taken part in international events and competitions and she has received several awards for her work.
