Pagomenos Kostas
Kostas Pagomenos was born in Heraklion, Crete in 1960. He lived in Belgium, where he studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Charleroi under painter Charles Sczymkowicz (1976 – 1980). Since 1992, he has been working mainly on constructions and sculpture. He has presented his work in four solo exhibitions in Greece and has taken part in more than 90 exhibitions in Greece, Belgium and France. He has created public works (statues) in Heraklion, Gazi, Gergeri, Keramoutsi, Rethymnon, Tylissos, Krousonas, Achlada, also has produced artistic interventions and constructions in the Natural History Museum of Crete and the Cretaquarium Thalassocosmos in Gouves, Crete. He taught art and design at the CBS Studies school and visual art at Kochlias art workshop in Heraklion. He worked as set and mask designer in several plays of the theatre group “VIVI”. He is a member of Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece. His works are exhibited in museums, galleries and private collections. He lives and works in Heraklion, Crete.
