Zervou Christina
Painter, sculptor and engraver Christina Zervou was born in 1936 in Athens. She first studied French literature in Paris (1961 – 1965) and following her return to Greece she attended painting classes under Dimitrios Giannoukakis and Bia Davou (1968 – 1971). In 1976 she was granted a scholarship by the German state (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst – DAAD) and she worked in Berlin.
She presented her work in solo and group exhibitions and took part in the Pan-Hellenic exhibition (1971, 1973, 1975 and 1987) and in international events, including the Engraving Biennale in Ljubljana (1979, 1981, 1983, 1985, 1987), the Engraving Biennale in Fredrikstad (1980), the Engraving Biennale in Baden-Baden (1981), the Sao Paulo Biennale (1981), the Bradford Biennale (1982), the Biella Biennale in Italy (1983), etc. Christina Zervou died in 1988 in Athens. She was a member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece.
