Mother Nature
Georgianna Kralli was born in Athens in 1950. She studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts in the workshops of Yiannis Moralis and Dimitris Mytaras (1968 – 1973). She taught painting, graphic design, interior design and art history at a private college in Athens for a decade (1976 – 1986), and at the same time she held solo exhibitions in Athens (at the Kreonidis gallery in 1978 and the Argo gallery in 1983) and in Sacramento (1980).
In 1986 she settled permanently in Sweden. She has presented her work (paintings and sculptures) in many solo and group exhibitions, and has taken part in international events such as the GIART 89 Gothenburg International Art Fair (1989), the Florence Biennale (2007), the Bulgaria Triennale and the Russia Triennale, etc. She was granted scholarships by the Västerås municipality, the International Association of Art (I.A.A.) and the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and has received an award by the Swedish Workers’ Federation for her participation in a poster contest (2005). She is a member of the International Association of Art (I.A.A.), the Swedish Chamber of Arts (K.R.O.) and the group of women artists GAIA.
