Sitting figure

Ioannis Giarmenitis was born in Patras in 1950. He studied engraving and book art at the Athens School of Fine Arts (1973 – 1978) under K. Grammatopoulos and G. Papadakis and continued at the Akademie der bildenden Künste in Vienna (1978 – 1979).

His works have been presented in solo and group exhibitions in Athens, such as the exhibition held at Bouzianis Hall, a solo exhibition in 1985, and the group exhibition of Greek Engravers in the same year. Since 1980 he has been working in the Greek Archaeological Service. He is a member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece.
