Alekos K. Alexandridis, nephew of Androgeios Alexandridis and grandson of the painter Antonios Alexandridis, was born in 1913 in Alexandria. His family settled in Crete, the place of origin of his father, in 1914. Alekos Alexandridis studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts (art workshops of Sp. Vikatos and P. Mathiopoulos). He also studied music at the National Conservatory of Athens. He worked at the Greek National Opera and took part in important operas, and until 1967 he worked at the Bank of Greece.

In 1968 he travelled to Libya and then to various parts of Greece. He settled permanently in Heraklion in the mid-1980s. He held his first solo exhibition in Heraklion at the Vikelaia Municipal Library in 1932 and in 1934 in Athens (Bank of Greece Club). He also presented his works in solo exhibitions, among others, at Parnassos Literary Society (1972, 1973, 1974, 1978, and 1984) and at the Musée Charles Péguy in Orléans in 1977, etc.

He also participated in group exhibitions, including the Pan-Hellenic exhibitions of 1960, 1969, 1971 and 1973. Alekos Alexandridis died in 1997 in Heraklion. He was a member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece.
