Antonova Nadiezda

Painter and art teacher, Nadiezda Antonova, wife of painter Valery Antonov, was born in 1955 in the Pskov region of Russia.

She lived in Cherepovets, Vologda, until 1971, where she studied at the School of Fine Arts and Pedagogy. She taught art in private painting workshops and in secondary education, and has presented her work in various group exhibitions held in the Vologda region since 1978.

She is a member of the Union of Young Painters of the Soviet Union (1980) and of the Union of Painters of the Soviet Union (1997). She held her first solo exhibition at the Vologda Art Gallery in 2000, followed by several group and solo exhibitions mainly in Russia and Greece, including Crete (Agios Georgios Gate, Heraklion 2004, 2005).
