Dagari Angeliki

Angeliki Dagari was born in Piraeus in 1947. She studied painting under P. Jerome in Paris at the Académie de la Chaumière and in 1972 she received a diploma in painting from the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-arts and one year later a diploma in engraving.

From 1975 to 1988 she taught art in secondary education and then in the Aidonopoulos Schools, the Technological Educational Institute of Athens, the Hill School and the Athens College. She also worked as a book illustrator and a set designer in the film industry. From 1976 onwards she presented her work in solo exhibitions in various cities in Greece, and in 1997 she created the art space “Lampsakou 3”, where she exhibited her works.

She also participated in many group exhibitions, including the Pan-Hellenic exhibitions of 1973 and 1975, at the Athens Municipality Art Gallery in 1983, etc. She was among the founding members of the Copperplate Engraving Group (1980) and a member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece. Angeliki Dagari died in Athens in 2007.
