Dolapsis – Krassanakis Kostis

Kostis Dolapsis – Krassanakis was born in Heraklion, Crete in 1946. He studied architecture in Spain (School of Architecture, Madrid, 1970) and then in Italy (at the Venice Institute, 1973 and the Technical University of Milan, 1974). He travelled a lot until 1975 and worked in technical offices in various cities (Naples, Venice, Madrid, Tokyo and Taiwan).

He has substantial educational experience and has created art workshops together with other artists of Heraklion; he has also written several books mainly on architecture and urban planning. He specializes in metalworking and has presented his work in several solo and group exhibitions from 1967 until today, both in Greece and abroad, including those held at the Ittar Museum in Heraklion (1982, 1984), the Basilica of St. Mark, Heraklion (1987), the National Museum of Fine arts in Malta (1989), etc.
