Glavani Zoe

Zoe Glavani (daughter of politician Vangos Glavanis), was born in Volos in 1929. She studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts in the laboratory of engraver Efthymis Papadimitriou. Her works have been presented in major international organizations, including the Sao Paulo Biennale in Brazil (1951 and 1959), the International Engraving Exhibition in Santiago, Chile (1958), the Alexandria Biennale in 1959, and the Mostra Internazionale di Bianco e Nero in Lugano (1960). She also took part in the Pan-Hellenic exhibitions and the exhibitions of the Body of female Greek Artists (Thessaloniki 1954, Cairo 1955 and Rome 1960).

She worked with handicrafts (jewellery) and she illustrated and published the book “The Folk Songs of Rhodes” in 1952. She is a member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece and the “Congrès d’Art Graphique de Lurs”.
