Perraki Eleonora

Engraver, painter and set designer Eleonora Perraki was born in Athens in 1949. She studied painting in Rome, at the Accademia di Belle Arti (1968 – 1971), where she attended classes in decoration, engraving and stage design. Following her return to Greece, she started working at the Banknote Printing Works of the Bank of Greece (IETA) – National Mint as an engraver, and she is a professor at the Hellenic Technology Centre.

She has presented her work in international events such as the Intergrafik in Berlin (1984), tributes to Greek engraving, such as the exhibition Wspotczesna Grafikka Grekka in Warsaw (1988), the Engraving Exhibition of Greek Artists held at the Cultural Centre of the Municipality of Athens (1985), the exhibition Post-WWII Engraving at the National Gallery – Alexandros Soutsos Museum (1988). She has also worked as stage designer and book illustrator. She is a member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece.
