Michail Tsapakis is an ophthalmologist. As an adolescent and university student he was an apprentice to painter and icon painter Dimitris Saridakis (late 1950s – early 1960s). He has taken part in group exhibitions and has also held solo exhibitions in Heraklion, Crete.
