Ιnterviews

The artist's cell

In this documentary film series we aim to present the work of contemporary artists working in Greece, spanning a wide gamut as regards their age, their methods and the media they use.
Our intention is for this presentation to be accomplished mainly through the artists’ own words, in a way that enables them to communicate their work as they see understand it, rather than in a strict academic “interview” format. It is also paramount to let their work speak for itself, which is why we have decided to shoot in the artists’ studio or working spaces, so that their completed or as yet unfinished works can become a testament to their style.
We think that art should not just be the subject of an art-loving elite, or of patrons, but rather should be available to the whole of society and a much, much wider audience.
