Papadakis Emmanouil I.

Manolis Papadakis is a professor of Mathematics and was born in 1954 in Myrtia, Heraklion. He has participated in local, national and international photography exhibitions and contests and has won a total of 141 medals and awards (76 in international exhibitions and Biennales).

In 1997 he was honoured by the Photographic Federation of America and he also received the “Excellence FIAP” distinction (gold) in 2012 by the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP). His photographs have been published in international photographic catalogues, photo magazines, albums, calendars, etc. In addition, some of his photographs are exhibited in the Museum of Greek Culture and are also included well in an international CD with works by 303 photographers from around the world entitled “Photographers of the end of the millennium”.

He teaches art and techniques of photography in courses and seminars, he is the vice-President of the Hellenic Photographic Society of Crete and serves as member of many juries in National and International photo contests.
