Painter and engraver Aikaterini (Titika) Salla – Dokoumetzidi was born in 1947 in Heraklion, Crete. She first studied German literature at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (she graduated in 1972), and then painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts (1980 – 1985) under D. Mytaras, D. Kokkinidis, I. Dekoulakos, and engraving under Th. Exarchopoulos (1985-1990).

She wrote her thesis on Art in Education at the Athens School of Fine Arts on a scholarship granted by the State Scholarships Foundation. She then taught pedagogy at the same School. She has presented her works in solo and group exhibitions, mainly in Athens and Crete. She is a member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece.
