Sofia Datseri was born in Ierapetra, Crete in 1971. She studied History at the Ionian University, and took independent painting lessons in Ierapetra. From 1995 to 1999, apart from painting, she worked on wood carving, stone carving and the Cretan loom.

Stelios Giagiozis was born in 1940 in Gazi, province of Monofatsi, Crete. He is an architect and an amateur painter.
